The Harbormaster and his assistants are
guardian's of the waterfront, with duties ranging from harbor planning
and management, to mooring and dockage management. The department is
involved in protecting and education of the public regarding safety and
legal boating, law enforcement (State statutes and local regulations),
along with emergency search and rescue. Harbor patrols are conducted to
ensure safety and offer any type of water related assistance to boaters,
bathers, and fisherman. They also work in conjunction with other
departments such as the U.S. Coast Guard, Massachusetts Environmental
Police, Coast Guard Auxiliary and other harbormasters to ensure a safe
day of boating. The Harbormaster Department monitors VHF channel 12 &
16.

Yacht Club is now widely recognized as one of the premier boating
facilities on the Northern Massachusetts/Southern New Hampshire coast.
The Club House and Marina are located on the Merrimac River, just
minutes from Interstate 95 and US Route One. The Marina features
sheltered, deepwater dockage, and is approximately a mile and a half
upriver from one of the premier sport fishing and sailing areas in the
Northeast.
